I did something.  I did something that I have really wanted to do for sometime now.  I'll be turning 55 this November and although I have come to embrace my maturity in many ways – no really! I have! –  there are lots of advantages to being older and wiser. However.... there are some things that have been really, really bugging me.  Technology has been kind in giving me the ability to take that handy tool in my digital photo program and gently erase that annoying furrow in between my eyebrows that makes me look well, worried or sometimes a little mean.  And those deepening grooves from my nose to my mouth are reminding me more and more of a ventriloquist dummy! O.K so maybe I'm being a little hard on myself but it sure would be wonderful to have that handy little digital tool in my pocket so I can look at myself and feel just a little more, well,  like.... me.

Well my friends, I have found the Fountain Of Youth. On Monday October 1st  I met with Deanne Roy R.N. at my salon and we talked about what was really bugging me (about my face that is) and what my options were.

Deanne's chair side manner was professional, informative and really nurturing.  I immediately felt at ease with what was going to take place. We numbed me up with some Lidocaine, waited 20 minutes, and with confidence and precision Deanne injected Botox into the little muscles in between my forehead and before I could say "what the****?" it was over.  We then proceeded to fill the furrow with some Restylane. Again, no big deal.

We then moved on to the vertical lines around my mouth.  Honestly, it was a little more uncomfortable but the immediate result was so worth a few moments of pain. Seriously!!!!
The lines from my nose to my mouth were then injected with a new product ( which will last up to 1 year or more!!!!) called Radiesse.  Again, it hurt just a bit but let me tell you that it is probably the most remarkable improvement of all.  All of this took a little less than an hour.  I was very comfortable laying in my cozy chair in my lovely facial room and when we finished I got up,  put on a little makeup and went to the store to get dinner.  No down time. No dark glasses.

I am so happy with the results. I look like me again.
